here, we have my aforementioned snow-globe box, still sitting on the piano, waiting to be put away. But, they are in good company, joined by a manatee and gold lame wallet full of tooth fairy money.

Why I don’t let my avid almost teenage reader EVER read out of the ‘Young Adult’ section of any bookstore. This is just sad. And, I think of the many well-intentioned moms and dads who, trying to encourage their child to read, grab a few titles off these shelves.

As an alternative, attempting to balance out the ick with beauty, my college friend, Fr. Brian McMaster has recently published a book.

Totus Tuus: A Consecration to Jesus Through Mary with Blessed John Paul II.
